Mercari Will Collaborate with "Bibian," Taiwanese Online Shopping Major PChome's Subsidiary

EC Weekly Picks 台湾国旗

On October 12, flea market app Mercari announced that it has collaborated with "Bibian" a subsidiary of "PChome Online," a major online shopping company in Taiwan. Through the agency purchasing service provided by the Bibian, they are planning to strengthen cross-border sales on C to C to Taiwanese consumers. Specifically, customers can search for Mercari products on the PChome online shopping site, and Bibian will take the procedure on their behalf when purchasing the products. Bibian also provides the receipt and inspection of products in Japan, and shipping them to Taiwan. The background of the collaboration is that the needs from Taiwan for Mercari's products have been increasing and that Mercari has set "global expansion" as one of its medium to long-term strategies.
